TREATMENT PROCEDURE 🍃
"There is no cure outside of your own body; that cure is the power of regeneration that occurs on rest. That is rest without the presence of strain as strain is an expenditure of energy. Bio-Mechanics (Hurley/Osborn) treatments remove strain."

THE TREATMENT🍃
1. The treatment requires the therapist to assess the client's posture in a standing position, in front of a plumb line. For this procedure, the client is in a gown so that the whole back can be viewed.
2. The "contact point" is marked by the therapist on the right or left side of the pelvis, depending on the position of the pelvis.
3. The client then lies face down and the therapist checks the back and neck area for sensitivity. Any sensations other than normal are reported by the client and marked by the therapist.
4. The therapist now carries out the treatment applying a light touch to the "contact point", and rechecking all the sensitive and marked points, until the tenderness is relieved and tension released.
5. Once again the client stands on the board, in front of the plumb line. The body alignment and equilibrium are rechecked and the treatment is completed.
The procedure takes 45 minutes to 1 hour.

"We use specific contact points to correct the postural alignment of the body. We activate the ligaments to return the sacrum to its normal position for each person. We loosen the ones that are tight and tighten the ones that are too loose, to change the bony structure. Everyone is distorted, so that when you get tired, the force of gravity makes it worse. Once the body is aligned it can rest. The only way to get rid of distortion is by treatment of the distortion. It can grow into deformity due to tension. Treat, reduce tension, live longer. Rest each day flat on the floor with the legs up"
Lie with Your Legs Up 🌿
To help your body get the most from your treatment, rest as soon as you can by lying on the floor with your legs supported . Your hips and knees should be close to a 90-degree angle. (See image) This position can be used daily, especially in the evening, for 20–30 minutes.
If possible, reduce your activity for about 48 hours after treatment. This gives your back time to settle into its new, more aligned posture. When your back feels sore, tight, or tired—after heavy work or long days—return to this position. It gently eases pressure in the spine, supports the sacrum, and allows the nerves to relax and recover.
If getting onto the floor isn’t comfortable, lying on your bed with pillows or a chair under your legs works just as well.
Nighttime is when the body restores itself. Resting with your legs up before bed can help release the day’s tension and support deeper, more restful sleep. If sleep is still uncomfortable, a fetal position or lying on your back with a pillow under your knees may help. Rest heals the body. The more deeply you rest, the more and faster the body can heal.
What to Expect After a Treatment🪴
Everyone responds a little differently. Many people notice improvement right away, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to several months. It’s common to feel relaxed or tired afterward, often with a deeper sleep that night. As your body adjusts over the next 2–3 days, you may notice mild tenderness or headaches—this usually passes as things settle. Resting with your legs up, staying hydrated, and using heat or cold packs can be very helpful. If discomfort lasts longer than a week or you have any concerns, please reach out to your practitioner—we’re here to support you.
Follow-up treatments are usually scheduled 2–3 weeks after the first, with more space between sessions as your body stabilizes. Many people find a maintenance treatment every three months helps counter everyday stresses and supports ongoing balance.

"The cure is within the body and can only take place with rest. After treatment you should rest better and feel better. As soon as the body tightens the pain sets in. Rest is required."
